Houmous – Ingredients
- 400g can chickpeas
- 2 puréed garlic cloves
- 1 juiced lemon
- 2tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- <60ml tahini
- 3-4tbsp water
- Sea salt, to taste
Whizz the ingredients up in a food processor until the consistency is paste-like. Add spices and salt to taste, and adjust water content to achieve the texture you like.
Top tip: add ground spices like paprika and cumin to taste
We heart houmous because it’s tasty, packed with healthy fats and is easy to make. It’s also great with falafel or mixed with fresh salad leaves in a wrap.
