We love a healthy food combo and sometimes the simplest combinations are the most delicious! I’ve shared my favourite healthy food combinations, which taste amazing and have a great effect on your body too.

Banana and almond butter: This dreamy combination, seems to just become more and more delicious every time I have it! The rich nuttiness from the almond butter complements the sweetness of the banana perfectly. I love it simply on a piece of gluten-free toast, in my Healthy Caramel Protein Smoothie and of course in my Banoffee Pie.

Avocado and lemon: This is a pretty classic healthy flavour pairing, and it never fails to impress. The creaminess from the avocado paired with the subtle tang of the lemon, is a delicious way to add lots of fresh flavour to any meal. You can simply mash the avocado in lemon juice and a pinch of salt and use is at as a dip or a spread, or try my favourite combo with Avocado Cream.

Peanut butter and chocolate: These two flavours don’t just taste incredible together, simply saying them is enough to make anyone drool! I’ve always loved these flavours together, so of course I had to come up with a healthy way to indulge in them. My Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cheesecake, is my favourite way to enjoy this combo.

Tahini and tamari: This may seem like a pretty odd combo, it’s definitely not in everybody’s list of classic delicious combinations, but trust me once you try it it will be! Tahini Dressings are one of my favourite things to add a protein boost to any meal. The mixture of the Tahini and tamari makes for an incredibly rich dressing with an explosion of creamy, salty, sweet, fresh flavours all in a drizzle. For my favourite dressing to serve one you need: 1tbsp tahini, 1tsp tamari, Juice of ½ lemon and 1tbsp water. Simply add everything to a bowl and whizz with a spoon until delicious and smooth.

Sweet potato and ginger: To be honest sweet potato tastes pretty incredible with anything, but there is something very special about this one. The spice of the ginger with the sweetness of the potato is a flavour not to be missed. Both these foods are also incredibly anti-inflammatory, so as well as being delicious you’ll reap the benefits! I love this combination in a warming, Sweet Potato, Coconut and Ginger Soup – perfect for those cosy evenings.
