Treat your tastebuds with this handmade protein chocolates recipe. “Healthy confectionary.” Those two words sound like they don’t really belong together.
The word “healthy” makes one think of vegetables, fruits and wholefoods, whereas confectionary conjures up images of sugar, indulgence and the pampering of one’s tastebuds.
But you can combine them – we promise! You can pair the blissful element of handmade chocolates with nutrition-packed ingredients in this handmade protein chocolates recipe.
Ingredients
30g Pow Whey Mix
2tbsp cashew nut butter
10ml water/or almond milk to bind the above
10 drops of toffee-flavoured stevia (you can buy this from Nutri-Nick)
30 dark chocolate
Cashew nuts, grated to sprinkle over chocolates
Method
Apart from the dark chocolate, mix all your ingredients together until you get a dough that you can shape with your hands.
Shape this dough into three rectangles, or bars. Slice the bars horizontally to form squares.
Melt your dark chocolate and dip each square in the chocolate. Sprinkle grated cashew nuts over the top.
