Fruit gets a bad rap sometimes, as it can be high in sugar and calories. But there are still a bunch of fruits out there that are really good for you and offer a wide range of vitamins and minerals. These are the ones we heart.
1. Bananas
In a bad mood? Bananas are packed with the neurotransmitter tryptophan, which is converted into the happy hormone serotonin. Good news when you need a little lift.
2. Blueberries
Known as a superfood, and rightly so, blueberries have an array of nutritional benefits under their belt. The powerful antioxidants in these fruits have anti-ageing benefits as well as being rich in vitamin A, which improves eyesight.
3. Strawberries
When we think of fruits that provide a decent dose of vitamin C, strawberries are often overlooked, with many of us opting for oranges instead. But these dark-skinned berries contain 51.5mg per serving, more than enough to keep your immune system in check.
Try adding these fruits to your baking, porridge or have as a snack to give your health a sweet boost.
