These bars make an ideal on-the-go healthy snack. And if you’re not a huge fan of home baking and haven’t really attempted making flapjacks in the past, this is a great recipe to ease yourself in.
You can either use a readymade Wyldsson cinnamon flapjack mix together (they also supply the silicone baking tray and nut butter), or you can read on to create it yourself.
Ingredients (makes 8 bars)
1 x Wyldsson Bar Mix (or 150g oats, 25g raisins, 25g chopped dates, 15g sunflower seeds, 15g goji berries and 1tsp cinnamon)
2 x very ripe bananas
1 x egg
3tbsp (50g) nut butter
Method
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
Mash the bananas with the back of a fork and add to a mixing bowl together with the flapjack mix, egg and nut butter.
Combine everything together well using a fork.
Spoon the mixture into a silicone flapjack tray and press flat.
Bake in the oven for 20-30 mins at 180°C until golden brown on top.
Allow to cool, then slice into bars.
