Avocados are brimming with nutrients and healthy fats, and are a nutritious and filling addition to your diet. Not sure how to get your fill? Green Clean & Lean Sandwich

(Serves 1)

Ingredients
  • 2 slices rye bread
  • 1tbsp houmous
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 2 slices cooked turkey
  • 1 small ripe avocado, peeled and sliced
  • A handful of alfalfa sprouts
  • Freshly ground black pepper

 

Method

• Toast the rye bread, spread the houmous over one side of each slice of toast and sprinkle with the lemon juice.

• Lay one slice of turkey, half the avocado, and the half the alfalfa sprouts over the houmous on each slice.

• Season with freshly ground black pepper and either sandwich 2 slices together or serve as an open sandwich.
