Freekeh

The history of freekeh traces back to ancient Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. Freekeh is a young green wheat that’s has been toasted and cracked. It is full of fibre and a fantastic ingredient to include in recipes if you’re looking to lose some weight by maintaining a healthy, well-balanced diet. Freekeh is also a great source of protein for vegetarians and vegans. It’s a delicious alternative to rice or couscous and so easy to cook.
