CPRESS juice bar review
Juice bars have popped up all over the city, including this premium cold-pressed juicer on the Fulham Road. Read our CPRESS juice bar review to find out if it stands out from the crowd…
Our experience
It was a bustling Sunday afternoon in CPRESS, the hip and wholesome organic spot. Its welcoming staff and laid-back atmosphere immediately put people at ease. In addition to this, the minimalist space, with its modern interior, featured chic seating along a café bar. CPRESS stocked their fridges with an array of juices and nutritious superfoods.
I helped myself to a green chai latte and slice of gluten-free banana bread. Timothy Stevenson is a 33-year old entrepreneur and one of the co-founders of CPRESS. He explained how the concept of the company first came about. The brand focuses exclusively on organic produce and provides unprocessed foods that contain no pesticides or preservatives.
Why is CPRESS different from the rest?
CPRESS is proudly the only standalone store in London to have its products certified by the Soil Association. An establishment must verify that all of its items are toxin-free in order to receive this coveted title. The audit process examines their suppliers, the way in which food is processed in their kitchens and the packaging that’s used to transport their products. All of this guarantees the highest quality and nutritional status for their consumers.
CPRESS works with its own nutritionist to tailor their menu. CPRESS delivers fresh juices to its customers every day. Not only are their juices delicious, but they’re also unpasteurised. This ensures that every bottle is packed with nutrients and full of goodness.
What’s so special about cold-pressing?
What is it that makes cold-pressed juicing so superior? Cold-pressing is a procedure that requires a lengthy and gentle squeezing to extract juice. The fruit and vegetable vitamins, minerals and enzymes remain intact throughout the process. The extraction process uses no heat and minimal friction.
CPRESS minimise the amount of air that’s exposed to their juice by using the cold-pressing method. This significantly prolongs oxidation, keeping the juice fresh without losing its nutritional integrity.
Tim recommended substituting my morning coffee for a stimulating and nutrient packed juice. CPRESS’ popular ‘Charged Up’ juice contains turmeric, carrot, pineapple, orange, lime and lemon, and sounds like it could be a winner.
The Chelsea location has already garnered an impressive following, despite being open for only six months. The brand has collaborated with companies such as Nike, Lululemon and Belstaff, and has recently formed a partnership with Storm Models for London Fashion Week. Due to high demand, plans for a second store are under way, with a new Canary Wharf location opening this May. Watch this space for more info!
