If you find it hard to muster up the motivation to exercise during that strange, unsettling time between summer and winter, then what you need is a simple, fuss-free workout. The transition period during autumn can be confusing – clear-cut goals like slimming down for bikinis are non-existent, and the weather plays tricks on us when it comes to making the right kit choices, too. But we can help you keep it simple with this super-easy workout. Just hit the gym, focus and get it done and dusted.
Perform 10 reps of each move, then rest for a minute and repeat 2-3 times.
Barbell squat
Instructions
Hold a barbell resting across your upper back and shoulders in place.
Keeping heels firmly planted and with feet shoulder-width apart, squat down, pushing your bottom out behind you.
Push back up through the heels and repeat.
Top tip:
Keep your chest up and shoulders back.
