In need of some health motivation? Take a look at Fit in 3: the latest wellness book by blogger Faya Nilsson.
Faya Nilsson, otherwise known as Fitness On Toast, is the latest blogger to join the book publishing gang. With the likes of Deliciously Ella, Zanna Van Dijk and Clean Eating Alice all launching their own write-ups recently, it’s quite something to stand out amongst the crowd. There are so many diets, training plans and methods on how to stay healthy, that it can be hard knowing who to listen to. Fit in 3 promises to give a fresh take on how to lead a happier life through food, fitness and lifestyle changes. Faya even shares some behind-the-scenes secrets of how her book came to life over on her blog.
Who is she?
Faya is a half-Swedish, half-English, London-based personal trainer with over a decade of experience. She’s now also a social media star, and her Fitness On Toast channels have reached a following of over 122k. The blog provides nutritional advice and recipes, fitness knowledge, product reviews, holiday reviews and fashion tips. Most highly recognised and perhaps a key aspect of Faya’s success, are the beautiful photos she captures within the travel section. Be warned, we don’t advise looking if you’re suffering from the winter blues! She has also just recently signed to Adidas as a brand ambassador along side the likes of Rita Ora. No biggie.
What makes Fit in 3 unique?
Faya strongly believes that her book is different from the pack of publications being sold by other top fitness and food bloggers. While she combines aspirational lifestyle elements similar to those of Ella Woodward or Madeleine Shaw, her training and mindfulness techniques are ones that she has found work the best with her clients. Fit in 3 offers three simple principles on how to live a healthier life: refreshing the mind, nourishing the body and training the frame. Fit in 3 dives into all these aspects of wellness, offering no short cuts, fad diets or strict regimes. With more than 10 years experience working as a personal trainer, she believes in the power of three to truly achieve a sustainable, healthy life.
What will you find between the covers?
The book includes more than 60 recipes as well as a three-week daily training plan. The workouts are designed for even the busiest of people, and vary from low to high intensity. Faya creates the recipes, and they are inspired by her Scandinavian roots. There’s ‘Sundae for Sunday’ and ‘Swedish Crayfish Party’, adding a personal and charming touch. Pleasingly, she uses everyday, supermarket ingredients in her cooking, so you don’t need to worry about obtaining obscure foods. Along the way are key points to achieving a healthier mind and looking after yourself in ways other that don’t involve working out or eating quinoa.
Here is a sneak peak of the delicious ‘Vegan Mocha Mousse’ featured in Fit in 3, made mainly from borlotti beans, espresso coffee, cocoa, dates and bananas. With a prep time of only 30 minutes, you’ll be hosting dinner parties every week just so you can serve it up. Grab yourself a copy of the book for the full recipe.
