Your feet see you through a whole host of activities from running to yoga and beyond. So they deserve a little love now and again. Spend some time giving them a bit of a pamper with our guide to foot care and giving your tootsies some TLC.

1)   Soak it up
Pamper your best assets with a long and luxurious soak. We love the Peppermint Reviving Foot Soak from The Body Shop, but you could also make your own little concoction! Simply fill a large bowl with warm water then pop in a few drops of your favourite aromtherpay oil – lavender or relaxing chamomile are a good bet – and soak your feet for around 10 minutes. Dry off gently with a towel. With sparklingly clean feet you may even convince your other half or flat mate to give you a quick massage – good luck!

2)   Scrub a dub dub
Slough away dead skin and reveal gorgeously glowing new feet below with a good-quality pumice stone and luxurious exfoliator. If you’ve done a marathon or a long run a good exfoliation is definitely in order. However if you plan to do more long-distance efforts in the future, don’t scrub too hard as that harder skin can act as a good protective layer. Cowshed do a lovely little pumice stone for just £2 which should do the job. But if you need to budge more serious skin issues check out Carnation’s Hard Skin Remover Pen, which can help to soften very hard areas of skin.

3) Moisture surge
In the summer months feet get dry and flaky and heels start to crack. Not a great look. So it’s time to put that moisture back in. When to comes to feet The Body Shop has a fantastic range of lotions and potions to get them soft and smooth again, we love the peppermint range and the hemp-based products. If you need something more heavy duty, Carnation offers a Cracked Heel Cream and Eucerin has an Intensive Foot Cream that should do the job.
