Being a vegan is not just about cutting out all animal food products – it also extends to beauty products and cosmetics.

Do you actually know what’s in your make-up? Dried, crushed bugs (called cochineal or carmine) can be used in all kinds of products, including the many red lipsticks, while ingredients such as fish scales and bird fat could also be in your make-up without you even realising.
