Tight on time? You need quick workouts to boost your burn

Life is a busy old thing and squeezing good workouts in, between late nights at work and a hectic social calendar can be tough. Check out our workout ideas below to keep your goals on track.

Tabata classes
Fitness First gyms run super speedy 20-minute Tabata classes. Who can’t spare 20 minutes? Hmm we thought as much! The Tabata protocol was developed by Izumi Tabata and sessions involve working flat out for 20 seconds followed by 10 seconds of rest, this is repeated eight times for a total of four minutes. It’s tough, but effective – and super fast.

Grit
HIIT (or High Intensity Interval Training) workouts involve working really hard for a short space of time, then resting and repeating. Les Mills’ 30-minute Grit classes are a great example and offer strength, cardio or plyo options.
