Enjoy one of Britain’s favourite meals in celebration of National Curry Week with this healthy curry recipe

Most people love a good curry, but do you like how you feel afterwards? A good curry house shouldn’t make you feel rubbish, but if you’ve overloaded on the naans, rice, deep-fried foods and salt, then you can be sure to feel pretty bloated, sluggish and generally not so great the next day.

One way to avoid this is to make your own! You can even make onion bhajees at home – just check out the recipe on the next page. Gram flour is made from chickpeas, and while it should still be used sparingly, it’s a better alternative to wheat flour. You can buy it from most big supermarkets or health food shops.
