Introducing your move of the week, the burpee. It’s a whole body cardio blast!

The burpee is a really versatile move. It can add a cardio element to your regular strength routine to get your heart and lungs pumping, but is also a great resistance move to work in to a park run to add a little challenge to the whole body.

Instructions

Crouch down to place your hands flat on the floor.

Jump your legs back to take yourself into plank position.

Jump them back to the start.

Jump up as high as you can.

Land softly and repeat.

Top tip:

Try to flow straight into the next rep to keep your body working hard.

Make it harder!

If you want to notch it up a gear add a press-up to your burpee when you drop down into plank.
