So What’s Normal?

We all know beauty product prices can range from cheap as chips to the price of a small car. But a lot of the cosmetics we buy can be reckless impulse purchases because the packaging is pretty, or it smells like heaven in a jar.

Don’t worry. We totally get it. And judging by the results of a new survey commissioned by the British Association of Beauty Therapists and Cosmetology, so does most of the British public.

The recent survey interviewed 2,822 people (an equal number of men and women) and discovered they spent an average of £153 a month on beauty bits.

This was broken down into:

£24 on hair products

£55 on hair colour

£22 on beauty products

£27 on treatments

£25 on other beauty-related buys

And did any of the participants think this is too much money? Of course not! In fact, 66% said they would spend more if they could and 77% believe that expensive prices always give better results.

Well, since you’re all mad for luxury beauty, here are some of the newest beauty launches the WHL team are lusting over this week…
