If you’ve always wanted to flaunt sun-kissed waves on your hols, but ended up looking like you’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards (yup, we’ve been there too), check out our 3 steps to beachy waves below. Sorted!

Curl

Curling tongs are easiest to use for this, but hair straighteners can work equally well. Curl small sections of your hair – starting at the back of your head – in different directions. When you get to the front of your hair, curl the front sections away from your face.

Spray

The product you use to hold and texturise your curls really depends on your hair. If curls tend to drop out straight away, now is the time to be generous with the hair spray. If your hair is still looking to sleek and shiny, a little salt spray will do wonders to add that beachy texture.

Shake

The absolute key to this look is to shake the curls out. This helps you avoid looking to ‘done’. Simply run your fingers through your curls to pull them out slightly and then give your head a good shake to add volume and mess the curls up a bit. Voila, beachy waves the easy way!
