Kettle bell swing- Workouts for women – We Heart Living

 

Kettlebell swing

We-Heart it because…If you’re not already using the kettlebell for this move, we strongly urge you to start. Depending on how you structure the workout, the swing can be used to boost cardio, power and fat loss. Yes, really! It’s a great move to target the glutes – the biggest muscle group in the body. Working these muscles really rev up your metabolism, in turn boosting fat burn.

Instructions:
Holding a kettlebell with both hands, bend at the hips and knees to let the kettlebell swing between your legs.
When the kettlebell begins to swing forwards again, explosively extend your hips and knees to swing the kettlebell up to eye level.
Bend at the hips and knees again as the kettlebell makes its way back to the start and go straight into the next rep.

Top tip: keep your back flat and gaze forwards
