What made you decide to start a health and fitness blog?

After having knee reconstruction surgery, being told I wouldn’t be able to dance again, getting a little down and falling out of love with fitness, I needed a way to motivate myself back into it. I knew that if I was telling anyone who would listen/read about my fitness and health journey, then I’d actually stick to it. It worked and is now a huge part of my life that I absolutely love.

We know from your blog that you have a background in gymnastics and dance, but what was it that really made you get into fitness?

I’ve always had a love of being bendy and upside-down, so after the issues with my knee I decided I wanted to get that back. I was also aware that my days of eating not-so-healthy meals might be taking a toll on my health, so I wanted to do something about it

We’ve seen your awesome workout videos for Adidas’ #workit campaign! How did you get involved in the campaign?

Adidas asked me if I wanted to get involved in the #workit content to hopefully inspire fitness followers to try out new moves and encourage women to just get involved in training, no matter how short or long their workouts are. This really resonated with me as I believe fitness should be accessible and exciting rather than intimidating. The adidas #workit series captures exactly that.

What was it like modelling for the new Adidas AW line?

It was such an amazing experience. To work with a brand like Adidas, a brand I grew up wearing, was such an honour. We had the best two days of shooting, surrounded by a brilliant team, full of energy and fun.

If you had to pick, what is your favourite piece from the new line and why?

The yellow, ultra-boost trainers are firmly planted on my feet everyday at the moment. They’re the perfect shoes to take me from a workout to a day of meetings.

What advice would you give someone who wanted to tone up?

My one bit of advice for toning is to focus on technique rather than numbers. The results will be so much more beneficial in the long term if each of your moves is controlled, with the right technique. Don’t be afraid to ask. Personal trainers are always wandering around gyms, so if you’re not sure if your technique is right, ask for help.

Some of the Adidas videos featured paired exercises. Do you like working out with a buddy often?

I love working out with friends, as you get that added motivational boost. One of my friends and I often set up a circuit at the gym and get a ‘sweat on’ together. It’s also great to have someone there when you finish and you can share your sense of achievement with them.

What was it like getting to work with fellow bloggers and fitness fanatics like AJ Odudu and Em Sheldon?

In a word, marvellous! I’ve worked with AJ before and know her well, so I loved every second of being around her. She’s got this amazing energy and smile that can brighten any room! Working with Em was amazing too. I knew of Em through following her on Instagram and stalking her latest wardrobe additions, so it was really great to finally meet her in person.

We love the recipes for the healthy treats on your blog, but what is your all-time favourite sweet treat recipe?

It’s a no-brainer – these raw chocolate brownies are heavenly!

What are your plans for the future? We hear rumours about you becoming a yoga instructor?

The rumours you hear are correct. I’m due to start my yoga teacher trainer with Yoga London in October. I haven’t got much planed beyond that, as I want to throw myself fully into learning and practicing, although there is talk of a couple of yoga retreats next year. We’ll see!
