Kick start your healthy summer: join the VOGA brunch bunch! As the House of Voga, the Grade II-listed German Gymnasium and King’s Cross Pond are teaming up to provide Londoners with fun-filled fitness brunches.

Every Saturday morning from 4 June until 17 September 2016, guests can enjoy a VOGA workout followed by a leisurely dip in the King’s Cross Pond and a healthy brunch for only £30.

The morning begins at 10:30am with a poolside VOGA class, merging the breath-synchronised movement of Yoga with ‘vogueing’ and the expressive moves of dance. Appropriate for all ages, and fitness levels, this alternative twist on yoga offers a fun way to get active and make the most of exercising outdoors in the warmer weather.

There’s no doubt that exercising to the 80s soundtrack will make you work up a sweat, so guests will be invited to have a dip in the UK’s first piece of experiential land art, King’s Cross Pond (managed by leisure charity Fusion Lifestyle).

Ben Archer, general manager for King’s Cross Pond, said: ‘something like VOGA provides the perfect unique activity to get people pumped up for trying something different outside this summer and then cooling off with a dip in our natural bathing pond. We are looking forward to welcoming VOGA to the pond over the coming weeks.’

German Gymnasium (only a short walk away from the pond) will then welcome you in for a nutritious post-workout brunch. A variety of dishes that are bursting with protein and superfoods will be available, from avocado and poached eggs to coconut and almond milk chia pots. A refreshing boost will also be provided to cool you down, the ‘VOGA Mocktail’ – a mix of cucumber, lemongrass, ginger cordial, lime, and apple juice served over crushed ice.

House of VOGA told us: ‘We’re very excited to be partnering up with German Gymnasium and linking our new 21st century fitness concept to such an awesome lineage of fitness – Victorian workout meets VOGA method set to a Berlin-based beat, celebrating the origins of 80s house! Plus a splash in the pond – how very British!’.
