Bad day at the office? Drum it out with Fabletics and Dose

Kate Hudson’s activewear brand Fabletics and London’s online fitness destination Dose have joined forces to bring you a feel-good fitness experience you won’t forget. Designed to leave you feeling connected, positive and energised, Drum It Out is a September diary date not to be missed.

What?

Drum It Out will be hosted at the Oval Space in east London on Tuesday 19 September at 6.30pm and 8pm. Guests will be invited to take part in a Pound cardio session inspired by the infectious, energising and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. The class – originally from LA – combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and Pilates-inspired movements. The real twist? The whole class incorporates lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising. How’s that for a workout shake-up?

You’ll be in good hands, too: both 45-minute classes will be led by Pound instructor Jess Mckee, while drumming artist Holly Madge performs a live set. Holly has performed with the likes of CeeLo Green, Robyn and Duran Duran, and has also worked on adverts, campaigns and digital initiatives for Lexus, Nike and Absolut. Her electric energy on stage is sure to get the party started!

Why?

‘Designed for all fitness levels, this workout provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energised, toning up and drumming out negativity,’ explains Ian Smith from Fabletics. ‘Had a bad day at the office? Come and drum it out with us.’

And the fun doesn’t stop at the end of the class. Afterwards, all guests will be treated to post-workout skinny cocktails and a party makeover to leave them feeling as good on the outside as they feel on the inside.

‘The side effects of living in a digital age is that we are increasingly removed from our physicality and each other. Drums have been used in different cultures for centuries to promote physical and emotional healing. They create a powerful sense of connectedness, act as a form of self-expression and can transport us into the present moment,’ says Shara from Dose.
