There’s no lack of gyms in London but that doesn’t stop our excitement when there’s talk of a new one opening up. We’re got our eyes and ears peeled for the upcoming launch of Core Collective: the new ‘fitness boutique’.

Fitness inspiration can come in all shapes and sizes: your friend’s holiday snap from last summer, the green smoothie you saw someone slurping at the station this morning or… a brand spanking new luxurious fitness venue.

This May, Core Collective will be opening its doors in Kensington to those who fancy making a real experience out of their workout. The model is completely stripped-back to make it all about you and your fitness. For starters, there are no contracts, memberships, monthly payments or sign-up fees – just classes sold in blocks of five, 10, 20 and 40. This simplicity is mirrored in Core Collective’s four classes and personal training sessions: Velocity, Accelerate, Resistance and Focus.

Velocity is all about interval, core stability and athletic training, Accelerate is an intense endurance cycling class, Resistance offers TRX suspension training and Focus is bespoke personal training. All classes are 45 minutes long and are held in spacious studios (the entire venue is pretty roomy, with high ceilings, polished walkways and exposed brickwork).

But here’s where it gets even cooler. You’ll be able to zone out and enjoy a selection of contemporary artwork that will be rotated throughout the year in an adjoining gallery space, slurp on healthy and yummy smoothies at the juice bar and chill out in the lounge area with your friends. It may just be the most luxe fitness-slash-social club we’ve ever come across.

By adding in social elements, Core Collective has effectively transformed the gym experience from chore to chillout. Fancy burning some serious calories? Or are you on the lookout for some inspiration? Perhaps you’re just looking for somewhere to wind down with a nutritious juice? Whatever it is, the clever clogs at Core Collective look like they might have hit jackpot with this winning combination.
