Cooking just got easier, as HelloFresh launches pop-up shop with a purpose.

HelloFresh has been known to make healthy cooking easy, nutritious and fun; and now they’ve just gone and upped the ante even more. Based in Shoreditch’s Old Street station for a month from 1 March, HelloFresh has set up its first ever retail store allowing Londoners to purchase recipe kits on their way home. With each kit promised to take around 30 minutes to cook, these guys have made healthy eating an accessible option. And if that wasn’t enough, 10% of profits are being donated to The Felix Project, a London-based charity dedicated to reducing food waste and poverty.

Something for everyone

Teriyaki chicken with coconut rice and bok choy, sesame crusted salmon with couscous and tomato salsa and Mexican tomato jumble with spicy citrus halloumi are just some of the selections available at the pop-up shop to make your dinner plain and simple in prep – but never in taste! Ingredients are pre-measured and ready to throw in the pan when you get home – a concept which has made HelloFresh so popular in the UK and across the globe. The pop-up will also be serving refreshing Seedlip and Fever-Tree mocktails.

Meals made easy

Patrick Drake co-founded the company from his home in Shoreditch just five years ago and has since gone on to feed thousands every week, using a whole host of tasty ingredients. Patrick says, ‘We’re responding to the fact that our customers have said they would like the flexibility of being able to pick up our recipe kits on their way home – and now we can serve our recipe kits to hungry Londoners on the go. What’s even better is that we can support The Felix Project, a charity very close to our hearts, at the same time.’

The first 100 people to post a picture of themselves at the pop-up and tag @hellofreshuk will win a free meal kit. Anyone purchasing an item from the pop-up will be in with the chance to enter a competition to win a money-can’t-buy foodie trip to Florence for two people. The lucky winner will spend the weekend in a traditional Italian villa being taught the secrets of Tuscan cuisine by an Italian chef and sampling the delights of the local flavours and traditional delicacies.
