Double chocolate and nut protein bars

Not only are these double chocolate and nut protein bars gluten-free, sweetener-free, refined oil-free and generally junk-free, the dark chocolate-coated treats are also packed full of fibre too.

Ingredients

65g Protein Pow whey mix

70g almond butter – this can be regular almond butter or a protein-enriched almond butter

40g agave syrup

18g cocoa powder

40ml almond milk

For the coating:

30g dark chocolate

1-2tbsp peanuts

Method

Mix all bar ingredients together until you get a dough that you can shape with your hands. If it’s too sticky, add a tiny bit more of the mix. If it’s too crumbly, add a bit more of the milk (but don’t add too much!)

Press the whole thing into a pan and leave it in the fridge for three hours before you slice them into bars.

Once they’re shaped into bars, melt your dark chocolate.

Dunk the bottom and side of the bars into the dark chocolate.

Add peanuts on top and the rest of the melted dark chocolate. Done! Bliss.
