This crunchy overnight oats with date and banana recipe needs a little advanced prep, but it’s totally worth it. Bananas and dates are a great addition to oats if you have a sweet tooth, as they have loads of natural sugar, plus they’ll also give you plenty of energy to keep you going all day long!

Ingredients

40g Quaker Oats

Splash of almond milk

3 dates, finely chopped

1tsp vanilla extract

A couple of pecans

¼ banana

½tsp chia seeds

2-3tbsp Greek yoghurt

Method

Pour the Quaker Oats into a glass and add a splash of almond milk. Make sure the oats are not completely covered.

Add the chopped dates to the glass and pour the vanilla extract over this. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Add the pecans and banana the next morning. Cover with the Greek yoghurt and sprinkle some chia seeds on top.

To prepare in the microwave, mix the milk (or cold water) with the Quaker Oats in a bowl and heat for three minutes at 800W. Just stir and enjoy.
