Spinach superfood smoothie

Eat more health-boosting greens by blending up this spinach superfood smoothie. With the addition of oats and banana it’s also a brilliant energy booster that’s ideal for breakfast or before a workout. So get blending!


Ingredients (serves 2)

2tbsp rolled oats (15g)

400ml apple juice

75g spinach

25g kale

1tbsp honey

1 ripe banana, roughly sliced (100g)

A blender/liquidiser



Place the oats in a liquidiser with the apple juice and soak for five minutes.

Add all the remaining ingredients to the liquidiser and puree until smooth.

Pour into two glasses and serve.
