We Heart Living - Pulsin' Protein Powders

We Heart Living – Pulsin’ Protein Powders

Best for the hardcore
Pulsin’ is a UK company with great ethics; it trys to source organically where possible, only uses sustainable sources, and never includes GMOs or pesticides when creating its products. It offers five types of powder. Four are vegan: Brown Rice, Hemp, Pea and Soy. One is non-vegan: Whey. But what do the powders taste like? Well, if taken neat (just mixed with water or nut milk) they are an acquired taste. This is because Pulsin’ don’t add any sugar or flavouring – what you’re getting is just the protein. Personally, I love this as a) I quite like the taste of unadulterated plant protein (am I weird? Probably), b) I can add the powder to savoury meals if I fancy (chocolate powder in tomato soup is a taste I have not acquired), and c) it means I can create my own flavours (cacao nibs, dates and cinnamon are YUM.)
