We’re all for healthy eating, but sometimes salads do need a little spicing up. Choosing the right healthy oils for drizzling on your salad will not only complete change the taste, but it can give you a bunch of health benefits at the same time. So which are the best ones to choose?

1. Udo’s Choice Ultimate Oil Blend
There are tons of oils out there boasting health benefits, but this one comes with a promise that the ingredients – like evening primrose oil and coconut oil – have not been exposed to processing or heat, which can tamper with the nutritional value.

2.Viridian Nutrition Clear Skin Omega Oil
A thought-out mix of flaxseed oil, avocado oil, sea buckthorn oil and more has been blended to give you the best skin protection against inflammation, free radical damage and digestion. The omega-rich oil tastes great mixed with a little balsamic vinegar and you’ll be doing your skin a serious favour.

3. Argan Oil
Argan oil has hit the beauty scene with a bang in the last year, with hair, face and bodycare brands packing the stuff into its products. In fact, the nutty oil also tastes great drizzled over dishes and is packed with antioxidants.

4. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Extra virgin olive oil is a kitchen favourite, but is much more beneficial to your health when left unheated. This means, to unlock the benefits to joint health, heart disease and brain function, it’s best used as a dressing rather than for cooking.

5. Fushi Avocado Oil
Although many beauty nuts rub this stuff over their body for its moisturising and healing properties, we love it over a salad. The vitamin A, D and E and potassium content make it a must for the health-conscious. It’s also known to improve liver function, although that doesn’t mean you can up your booze intake!
