Love your yoga? Here are just a few reasons why you should go to Yoga Connects festival.

Join the UK’s most exciting Yoga festival and enjoy a unique celebration of yoga, dance, music and movement at the Yoga Connects festival in Glastonbury. The festival has been voted as one of the best 20 yoga festivals in the world by Cody App and takes place July 7-9 2017. The festival will be honouring the sacred connections that Yoga gives us to our bodies, minds, music, nature, children, Shamanism and each other. Take this opportunity to immerse yourself in Shamanic meditations and indulge your senses for three incredible days of Connection, Transformation and Discovery, kicking off with renowned Shamanic healer Akasha Jenita Wacha opening the festival on a Friday night with a sacred opening ceremony.

And yoga isn’t the only thing on show to get your adrenaline going – the festival will also be hosting also dancing, drumming, music and raving. Check out these five reasons to jot the festival into your diary this summer:

• You can improve your yoga
You can unleash your inner yogi with daily yoga classes from some of the world’s most sought after teachers, including Chris Chavez and Stewart Gilchirst. Whether you’re highly experienced or don’t know your Asana from your Savasana, the instructors believe that there is power in connection and invite you to let go of your inhibitions and have fun!

• You can dance the night away
After Friday night’s sacred opening ceremony there will be a trance dance with live music accompaniment guaranteed to rival even the biggest nightclubs. Throughout the festival, there will be a showcase top musicians and DJs from around the globe. The 2017 line-up includes Indian classical flute player Jason Kalidas and iTunes World Music chart-topper Shammi Pithia. Soul artist Antarma will also be performing his Mantra and Meditations.

• You can fill up on nutritious treats
The festival is providing delicious veggie and vegan food stalls to tantalise your taste buds and keep you satisfied all weekend. Roxy Rara Cakes are returning to the festival to offer their eco-friendly range of couture vegan, sugar-free and gluten-free celebration cakes. Damage Limitation will be providing healthy fresh made juices and smoothies to keep you buzzing with energy ready to dance, socialise and yoga the day away! Jamaican and Indian world cuisine will also be available.

• You can take time out to chillax
The festival is jam packed with events. But there will also be plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind. Yin Yoga, meditation, gong baths, hot tubs and spa and massage facilities will be provided so that you can wind down after a heavy night of partying. And no weekend is complete without a little retail therapy – Yoga Connects has invited fashion and jewellery designers to set up shop at the festival so you can browse boutique fashion and ethical athletic wear to your heart’s content.

• You can expand your horizons
The Yoga Connects festival is also an opportunity to learn. When you need a break from throwing shapes you can expand your consciousness with mindfulness workshops and talks taking place throughout the day. Plus, Yoga Connects is proud to be a 100% completely plastic free zone, so there will be plenty of opportunity for you to learn, talk and witness sustainable practices that you can take away with you and share and apply to your daily life.
