Get ready to relax and refresh: leading British herbal tea experts Pukka Herbs are coming to London! Offering a unique tea-tasting and wellness experience, the new Island of Tranquility pop-up event at Wholefoods’ flagship store in High Street Kensington will run from May 9 until July 9.

What to expect

With free teas, yoga, meditation classes, wellbeing workshops and a chill-out zone, you’d be bonkers to miss out on this one. The exclusive pop-up will also offer you the chance to participate in a herbal tea master class with Pukka’s Master Herbsmith and co-founder, Sebastian Pole, on how to make your own herbal tea.

Made from 100 per cent sustainably sourced materials, Pukka’s Island of Tranquillity is a place of solace, providing a comfy relaxation space to escape the hustle and bustle of the high street. It’s designed to inspire the vitality and positivity of health through nature’s finest herbs, without compromising the wellbeing of our planet.

Get Savvy

Chilling with a cuppa in hand might well be on the agenda, but don’t get too comfy: you’ll also be able to meet Pukka’s team of herbal experts and discover the delicious tastes and health benefits of the brand’s award-winning super-brews and herbal supplement range. Whether it’s to soothe stress, aid sleep, improve digestion or invigorate your energy levels, Pukka have a blend for you. In this exclusive event, you can sip through the brand’s entire 40+ collection, with Peppermint and Liquorice, Vanilla Chai and Minta Matcha just a few of the delicious flavours on offer.

Pukka’s Success

Founded in 2001, Pukka Herbs is now global, with over a million cups of its tea drunk every day. Co-founder Sebastian started as an ambitious herbalist with a dream to change the world by introducing the people to the power of herbs. Blended for wellbeing and taste using the principles of Ayurveda, an ancient Indian holistic philosophy, Pukka Herbs help to balance your mind, body and spirit with rich medicinal grade herbs and natural oils. Clearly excited about the upcoming event, Sebastian said: ’15 years on since I blended the first Pukka tea, our mission is still the same: to introduce as many people as possible to the unique wonder of herbs. So, I’m thrilled to be bringing our Island of Tranquillity herbal experience to Wholefoods so we can share our herbal wisdom with Londoners.’

Drink tea, do good

In Hindi, Pukka means ‘real, authentic or genuine’ – and this is the type of organisation that co-founders Tim and Sebastian want to create. From the organic herbs they source from across the world, to their promise to ensure a fair price is paid to everyone throughout their supply chain, they are committed to doing good through commerce.

The brand also works with FairWild growers in India, Kazakhstan, Bosnia, Hungary and Spain. All plants used have been harvested sustainably and collectors have been paid fairly. All Pukka’s teas are certified as ‘Fair for Life’, one of the fairest, most equitable and transparent fair trade system in the world.

So what are you waiting for? The Island of Tranquillity will be up and running from Monday to Sunday, opening from 11am – 7pm. Book onto a workshop by clicking here or head to pukkaherbs.com for more information.
